Inside the Wienermobile
This dog comes with the works, including a welcome kit filled with themed accessories to ensure you'll be top dog at the festival, a mini fridge with all the fixings for Chicago-style frankfurters, and an al fresco area to enjoy them while admiring the magnificence of the evening's lodgings. In case you were wondering, a rest room is also located outside the vehicle.
Inside the poppy decor includes Wienermobile-themed works by local artist Laura Kiro, a convertible sofa bed, and a roller grill for the guest to take home, ensuring all future Oscar Mayer hot dogs get cooked to stadium-style perfection.
For those unfamiliar with the American treasure, the Wienermobile launched in 1936, driving to grocery stores, parades, and other events to create buzz for the company. After a hiatus in the early 1980s, the vehicle was brought back to celebrate its 50th anniversary. The public's love and adoration was so overwhelming, Oscar Mayer declared it a wiener and decided to build a six vehicle fleet. In 1988, the Hotdogger program was born, hiring recent college grads to drive and promote the vehicles. Nowadays you can follow the Wienermobile on Instagram or download the app on Apple or Google Play to – ahem, ketchup – with it's goings on, including current location.
