It's hard to beat a milk chocolate Hershey's bar. With 12 melt-in-your-mouth, silky smooth squares, it's classic, affordable luxury.

Hershey's may have found a way to best its own, though.

On May 14, the company announced it's launching limited-time Hershey's Milk Chocolate Emoji Bars. Featuring 25 different emojis, the bars are an effort to foster conversation and connection.

"Our classic Hershey's bars were made to be shared with others," said Kriston Ohm, senior manager of Hershey's in a press release. "By adding an emoji design to each pip of chocolate, we hope that parents and kids are inspired to share a chocolate emoji and make a connection with someone new."

Are these emoji bars the exact same as regular Hershey's bars, just with a different design? Yep. Does milk chocolate taste just as good with an emoji as it does without? Sure does. Are we still going to try them? It's 2019. Of course we're going to try them. They're cute. They're different. They're smiling chocolate faces. They're our favorite part of modern-day communication in chocolate formThose are all good things!

Plus, the 25 emojis were selected based on a study of 500 kids ages 8-13 (along with 500 parents of kids ages 8-13) who believe the chosen emojis are most likely to spark a conversation. AKA, children chose these specific emojis with a purely good, innocent cause in mind. That's extra cute!

Some of the featured emojis include the heart-eyed emoji, the waving hand emoji, and the cowboy emoji (yee-haw, right?). There will be six different packaging designs.

The bars will launch sometime this summer in the standard Hershey's size ($0.99) and snack size ($1.06 for a five pack, $4.09 for a 9.45-oz bag). The company hopes they'll be collected, shared, and eaten among friends old and new.

Starting a friendship with chocolate doesn't sound half bad, huh? 👌
