A Queer Eye-approved treat a day just might keep your headache away—or something like that.

If you're feeling the new Fab 5 on Netflix as much as we are, then you love just about any insider info or tidbit you can get on them. We're not playing favorites or anything, but Antoni Porowski, Queer Eye's resident food and wine expert, is definitely a man after our own hearts here at Rachael Ray Every Day. So while speaking on a panel in partnership with Excedrin and their limited-edition launch of bottles for "Adulting," "Bad Date," and "Commuter" headaches yesterday in New York, Porowski shared his favorite midnight snack, and my ears instantly perked up. I do love a good late-night dessert myself—all the better if it's Antoni-approved! Interestingly enough, it's not Doritos, pizza, a pint of Ben & Jerry's, or any of the other usual indulgent snacky suspects. It's actually a souped-up date—yes, the fruit—that does the trick for him.

"I love medjool dates,"" says Porowski. "Take out the pit, add a scoop of peanut butter, and then top them with a little Maldon salt. That way, you get the sweet, the salty, and protein all in one bite."

What does all of this have to do with headaches, you ask? Well, apparently science says that much like a cold, you need to feed a headache. Seriously, people! Excedrin partner Dr. Elizabeth Seng, a clinical psychologist and head pain expert, said those prone to suffering headaches should, in addition to getting 7 to 9 hours of sleep a night and drinking lots of water, eat every few hours, including something sensible at night if you happen to be awake. Her suggestion was a handful of almonds, but I think I'm more in line with Porowski myself. Only thing I'd add to his mix is a sprinkle of chocolate chips. Or coconut flakes.

How about you? What's your favorite midnight snack? Would you try these delicious-looking dates?
