Drink Rosé All Day In This Vintage Airstream Trailer
Food trucks are nice and all, but have you heard about wine bar Airstreams? What could be cooler than sipping rosé while hanging out in a vintage Airstream trailer?
Malene Wines recently introduced a renovated 1969 Airstream to serve rosé on tap around the West Coast — and eventually the whole country. We couldn't think of a more perfect setting for sipping a summer favorite.
The vintage Airstream Overlander, renovated for Malene by custom Airstream outfitter Silver Bullet Trailer, has a chill, beachy vibe, reminiscent of the '60s surf scene. The roomy trailer houses both a tasting bar and a cozy lounge area that seats several imbibers. The wine itself is a crisp Provençal-style Grenache blend from California that debuted in 2015.
So far the Airstream has made its way to Sonoma, Napa, and Oakland with an upcoming stop at the Austin Food and Wine festival from April 27-29. The trailer will be sticking to the West Coast this summer, but has plans to eventually travel all over the country.
When it's not traveling, you can find the mobile tasting room at the Chamisal Vineyard tasting room in San Luis Obispo, California. (The hours of operation are Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.) Then in May, it'll move down the road to the Chamisal Winery.
The Airstream is also available for private events, so if you've got a special occasion coming up, book it before all the influencers do!
