Shopping List

For the jalapeño popper pizza: 

  • 3 Anaheim chiles
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • Flour
  • 1 lb. refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1 1/2 cups grated mozzarella
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan-Romano cheese blend
  • 4 oz. goat cheese
  • 2 scallions
  • 3/4 cup frozen fire-roasted corn
  • 1/2 cup drained canned or jarred pickled jalapeño slices
  • 1/4 cup torn fresh cilantro leaves

For the cheese coney dog:

  • Hot dogs
  • Buns
  • Chili
  • Ground cinnamon
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • Shredded cheddar
  • Yellow mustard
  • Chopped white onion

For the smokin' hot baked wings:

  • 4 lbs. chicken wings
  • 2 tbsp. canola oil
  • 1 tbsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper1 cup red pepper jelly
  • 1 tsp. smoked paprika
  • Chopped fresh jalapeño

For the chorizo burgers with sweet corn guacamole:

  • 1 lb. fresh Mexican chorizo
  • 1 lb. ground pork
  • 2 - 3 tbsp. grated yellow onion with the juice
  • 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • Salt and pepper
  • Canola oil
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 1 large jalapeno chile pepper
  • 1 lemon or lime
  • 1 ripe Haas avocado
  • 1 ear corn
  • 2 tbsp. finely chopped cilantro
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 4 cornmeal-dusted kaiser rolls
  • 4 large lettuce leaves
  • 1 large tomato
  • A couple handfuls white-or blue-corn tortilla chips

For the bacon, onion & tomatoes with sliced steak:

  • 12 slices meaty bacon
  • 2 boneless rib eye steaks
  • Kosher salt and coarsely ground black pepper
  • About 1 tbsp. mild-flavored oil (such as safflower, grapeseed, or canola)
  • A shot of dry sherry or juice of 1 small lemon
  • 3 tbsp. butter
  • 2 large cloves garlic
  • A few sprigs of fresh thyme
  • 4 beefsteak tomatoes
  • 2 white onions
  • HP Brown Sauce, London Pub Steak & Chop Sauce, or other steak sauce
  • 1 cup fresh flat-leaf parsley leaves with tender sprigs
