Summer seafood screams for Old Bay Seasoning, the spice blend from Maryland with lots of celery salt and a hit of heat. If you don't have a tin hanging around, you can mix up your own with stuff you probably already have in your cabinet. (You can adjust the amounts in the recipe below to suit your taste.) In addition to using it the traditional way on seafood, have some fun with it—try it as a popcorn topper or to rim the glass of your next Bloody Mary. Old Bay might just become your new bae! (See what we did there?)

New Bay Spice Blend

Recipe by Tara Holland

In a small bowl, mix 4 tbsp. celery salt, 3 tbsp. paprika, 1 tbsp. garlic powder, 1 tbsp. black pepper, 2 1/2 tsp. ground allspice, 3/4 tsp. mustard powder and 1/4 tsp. cayenne. Makes about 2/3 cup.
