You could have microwave popcorn at the press of a button, but stovetop popcorn is a lot more fun to make—and endlessly customizable.

Try our Buttery Stovetop Popcorn

Garlic Bread Popcorn

Add 1 grated clove garlic to the melted butter; cook 2 minutes. Pour over popcorn; add 1 tbsp. chopped parsley. Season with salt and toss to coat.

Black Pepper & Parm Popcorn

Pour the melted butter over popcorn; add 1/2 cup grated Parmesan and 1 tsp. cracked black pepper. Season with salt and toss to coat.

Curry-Lime Popcorn

Add 2 tsp. curry powder to the melted butter; cook 2 minutes. Pour over popcorn; add zest of 1 lime. Season with salt and toss to coat.                   

Smoke & Spice Popcorn

Add 2 tsp. smoked paprika and a few dashes hot sauce, such as Tabasco, to the melted butter; cook 2 minutes. Pour over popcorn. Season with salt and toss to coat.

Cinnamon Toast Popcorn

In a small bowl, mix 1 1/2 tsp. each superfine sugar and ground cinnamon; sprinkle over popcorn. Increase the melted butter to 3 tbsp. Pour over popcorn. Season with salt and toss to coat.
