- 1 1 pound loaf challah or panettone bread, trimmed and cut into 6 slices
- 3 tablespoons grainy mustard
- 8 ounces brie cheese, thinly sliced
- 1/2 pound sliced turkey (about 2 cups)
- 3 large eggs
- 3/4 cup milk
- 3 tablespoons butter
Lay the bread on a work surface; spread the mustard on top. Divide the brie and turkey among 3 bread slices; place the remaining 3 bread slices on top.
In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. In a large nonstick skillet, melt 2 tablespoons butter over medium heat. Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, coating both sides, and place in the pan. Cook until golden, about 4 minutes. Flip, add the remaining tablespoon butter and cook until golden, about 3 minutes more.
