Tinned-Seafood Platter with Garlic Mayo

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp. drained capers, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, grated
  • 2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
  • 8 tins (about 4 oz. each) assorted seafood (such as sardines, mussels, octopus, and smoked oysters)
  • Toasted pumpernickel cocktail bread, assorted crackers, cured meats, cheese, caperberries, and roasted nuts


In a medium bowl, whisk the mayonnaise, capers, garlic, and lemon juice; season with salt and pepper. Arrange the garlic mayo, seafood (in the tins), and remaining ingredients on a large platter with small spoons and forks for serving.
