Tinned-Seafood Platter with Garlic Mayo
Big crowd? Keep the holiday appetizer simple with fancy canned seafood, an easy dip, and your favorite crackers.
Ingredients
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp. drained capers, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, grated
- 2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
- 8 tins (about 4 oz. each) assorted seafood (such as sardines, mussels, octopus, and smoked oysters)
- Toasted pumpernickel cocktail bread, assorted crackers, cured meats, cheese, caperberries, and roasted nuts
Preparation
In a medium bowl, whisk the mayonnaise, capers, garlic, and lemon juice; season with salt and pepper. Arrange the garlic mayo, seafood (in the tins), and remaining ingredients on a large platter with small spoons and forks for serving.
