Tikka Masala Sauce

To turn this sauce into crowd-pleasing chicken tikka masala, add the meat from one rotisserie chicken to the finished sauce. Simmer until the flavors meld, 10 to 15 minutes. Serve with rice or naan.

Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 tbsp. tandoori masala spice blend (Maneet likes the brand Shan)
  • 3 cups jarred marinara sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp. honey

Preparation

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the spice blend and cook until fragrant, about 2 minutes. Add the marinara and bring to a simmer. Add the cream and honey and simmer until the flavors meld, about 5 minutes.
