  • 1 jar (24 oz.) marinara sauce
  • 1 lb. linguine
  • 3/4 lb. peeled, deveined tail-on frozen raw large shrimp
  • 3 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
  • 4 large cloves garlic—3 thinly sliced, 1 finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp. chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
  • 1 tbsp. finely grated lemon zest

In a large, deep skillet wider than the length of the pasta, cook the first 5 ingredients, the sliced garlic and 3 1/2 cups water over high, stirring frequently, until the pasta is al dente, about 20 minutes; season with salt and pepper. In a bowl, combine the parsley, zest and chopped garlic; sprinkle the gremolata on top of the pasta.
