Spicy Hot Chocolate

  • 4 cups milk
  • 2 red chiles, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • Whipped cream, for serving


In a medium saucepan, heat the milk over low heat. Add the chiles and steep for 10 minutes.

Strain the milk, then discard the chiles. Add the vanilla extract, then stir in the chocolate chips until melted. Pour into mugs and serve with a dollop of whipped cream.
