Well, I really messed, up! But for the good, I guess. We had what I thought was a can of anchovies in the pantry, but realized it was actually sardines. So I really wanted to try this dish & decided to just go ahead & try it with the sardines. Made the recipe using 6 cloves of garlic, red paper flakes, parsley
...and the canned SARDINES (packed in olive oil & jalapenos) instead of anchovies. I also added a can of crushed tomatoes & some pasta water before adding the pasta. Before serving, topped it with shredded parmesan. It was delicious!!!!! My husband said it was one of the best pasta dishes he's ever tasted and he is very picky!! Definitely will make it again.
