South Philly Dog

  • Hot dogs
  • Buns
  • Broccoli rabe
  • Sliced garlic
  • Crushed red pepper
  • Olive oil
  • Provolone
  • Sliced roasted red peppers


On a rimmed baking sheet, toss 1 lb. trimmed broccoli rabe, sliced garlic and crushed red pepper with olive oil; season. Roast at 400° until tender, 15 to 20 minutes. Set slices of provolone cheese in toasted hot dog buns and melt under the broiler. Set dogs in the melted cheese and top with the broccoli rabe and store-bought sliced roasted red peppers.
