- 2 packages (12-oz. each) trimmed green beans
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
- 1/2 large red onion, chopped
- 2 tsp. chopped fresh oregano
In a large skillet, bring 1 inch of water to a boil. Salt the water and add the green beans. Cover and simmer until crisp-tender, 3 to 5 minutes; drain. In the same skillet, heat the oil over medium- high. Add the onion and cook, stirring often, until the onion is soft and beginning to brown, 3 to 5 minutes. Add the green beans and oregano; season with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring often, until heated through, about 3 minutes.
