Roasted Garlic and Goat Cheese Spread

  • 4 heads garlic, outer skin removed
  • 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 pinch herbes de Provence
  • 8 ounces goat cheese
  • 8 ounces creme fraiche
  • Crusty bread, cut into chunks for serving


Preheat the oven to 425 degrees . In a roasting pan, arrange the garlic heads about 1 inch apart. Drizzle with the olive oil and sprinkle with the herbes de Provence. Cover with foil and roast for 1 hour and 5 minutes.

Using a blender, puree the goat cheese and creme fraiche; transfer to a bowl. To eat, squeeze out a garlic clove and spread on the bread; top with a layer of the goat cheese mixture.
