Quick Pickled Radishes

Ingredients
- 12 radishes, thinly sliced
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 4 whole cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 3/4 cup distilled white vinegar
Preparation
Put radishes in a jar. In saucepan, 1 boil next 4 ingredients with 1/2 cup water; add vinegar and pour over radishes. Let stand, 30 minutes; chill.
