Puesto's Guacamole with Parmesan

Parm in guacamole? Don't knock it til you try it. This recipe from Puesto in San Diego deserves a spot on your game day menu.

  • 2 avocados, peeled and seeded

  • 1/4 cup chopped onions

  • 1/4 cup chopped tomato

  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro

  • 1 tbsp. lime juice

  • 1 tbsp. orange juice

  • 1/2 tsp. minced habanero pepper

  • Salt

  • Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, cut into chunks


1. Mash avocado in a large bowl.

2. Mix in onion, tomato, cilantro, lime juice, orange juice and habanero pepper. Add salt to taste.

3. Top with chunks of Parmigiano-Reggiano.
