  • 3/4 cup shredded cheddar
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup whipped cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup minced pimientos
  • Pinch cayenne
  • 16 slices pumpernickel bread, toasted


In bowl, mix everything but toast; season. Using a 4-inch football- shaped cookie cutter, cut toasts. Spread filling on half the toasts; top with remaining toasts.
