  • In a small microwave-safe bowl, microwave 1 cup red wine vinegar with 1/4 cup sugar on high for 2 minutes. Stir, add 1 cup thinly sliced red onions, and let cool to room temperature, about 30 minutes. Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
