- 1 cup pure maple syrup
- 2 teaspoons ground ginger
- 1 quart vanilla bean ice cream
- 24 ounces stout beer, such as Allagash Black Stout
In a small saucepan, whisk together the maple syrup and ginger and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Cook until reduced by almost half, about 5 minutes.
Divide the ice cream among 4 large, pilsner-style glasses. Fill each glass with the beer and top with the syrup mixture. Serve with a long spoon.
