  • In a small saucepan, stir the sugar and 1/4 cup water over medium heat until the sugar dissolves, 3 to 5 minutes. Stir in the ginger and turmeric. Remove from heat and let cool about 1 hour. Strain the ginger-turmeric syrup. Into each of 2 ice-filled copper mugs, pour 1 1/2 oz. vodka, 1 oz. lime juice, and 1/2 oz. of the ginger-turmeric syrup. Top with ginger beer. Garnish with lime wheels.
