Italian-Style Grilled Cheese
Eat like an Italian! And by that, we mean add a thick layer of pesto and giardiniera to your grilled cheese.

Ingredients
Spread
4 tbsp. softened butter
2 tbsp. grated Parmesan
Bread
8 slices Italian bread
Cheese
8 slices provolone
Etc.
1/2 cup chopped drained giardiniera
1/4 cup refrigerated pesto
Preparation
Heat a griddle or large cast-iron skillet over medium. In a small bowl, mix the butter and parmesan. Slather on one side of each slice of bread. Build sandwiches with the cheese, giardiniera, pesto, and bread, spread-side facing out. Cook, turning once, until the bread is toasted and the cheese is melted, about 3 minutes per side.
