Ice Cream Sundaes with Cherry Sauce & Pistachios
We're all screaming for this ice cream.
Ingredients
1 bag (12 oz.) frozen pitted cherries (about 2 1/2 cups)
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
1/2 tsp. cornstarch, dissolved in 1 tbsp. water
1 pt. vanilla ice cream
shaved dark chocolate and chopped pistachios, for garnish
Preparation
In small saucepan, bring first 3 ingredients and 2 tbsp. water to boil over high heat. Cook, stirring often, until cherries break down, about 9 minutes. Add cornstarch; boil sauce for 1 minute. Let cool for 10 minutes. Divide ice cream among 4 bowls. Top with cherry sauce, chocolate, and nuts.
