  • Combine 3 1/2 cups 3/4-inch bread cubes, 1/4 cup chopped parsley and 2 tablespoons each finely chopped chives and extra-virgin olive oil; season with salt and pepper. Spread on a parchment-paper-lined baking sheet and toast in a 350 degrees oven for 12 minutes. Stir together 3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese, 1/3 cup sour cream, 3 tablespoons mayonnaise and 1 teaspoon each lemon juice and water; season with pepper. Toss with 1 head romaine lettuce, torn, and the croutons; season with salt and pepper.
