John's Cocktail: Fresh-Tomato Bloody Johnny
Ditch the Bloody Mary mix and make your own with cherry tomatoes with this recipe from Rach's husband, John Cusimano.

Ingredients
4 cherry tomatoes
4 fresh basil leaves
3/4 lb. very ripe red tomatoes, chopped
4 oz. vodka
1 oz. fresh lemon juice
1 oz. fresh lime juice
1 tsp. freshly grated horseradish
Worcestershire sauce (about 1 tsp.)
Celery salt (about 3/4 tsp.)
Hot pepper sauce (about 1/2 tsp.)
Freshly ground black pepper

Preparation
Wrap each cherry tomato with a basil leaf; divide among 2 toothpicks or small skewers. In a blender, puree the chopped tomatoes, vodka, lemon juice, lime juice, and horseradish. Strain into a 2-cup liquid measuring cup, pressing on the solids to extract the juices. Season with the Worcestershire, celery salt, hot pepper sauce, and pepper. Divide between 2 pint glasses filled with ice. Garnish with the basil-wrapped tomatoes.
