Egg in a Roll

  • 4 kaiser or brioche rolls
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons minced flat-leaf parsley


Using a serrated knife, cut a 2-inch hole in the top of each roll, being careful not to cut through the bottom. Add 1 egg and 1/2 tbsp. cream to each; season. Bake on a baking sheet at 375 degrees until whites are just set, 15 to 20 minutes. Sprinkle with parsley.
