Croque-Monsieur Fondue

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 8 ounces grated Gruyère
  • 20 cornichons
  • 5 slices thick-cut bacon, cooked then cut into 4 segments
  • 1 small baguette, cubed

Preparation

In saucepan, melt butter over medium. Add flour and cook, whisking, 1 minute. Whisk in wine; bring to simmer. Whisk in Gruyère to melt; season. Skewer cornichons, bacon and bread for dipping.
