  • In bowl, whisk mayonnaise and hot sauce for dip; season. In bowl, mix next 5 ingredients. Stir in cornbread mix to make batter. In skillet, heat oil to 350°. Working in batches, fry heaping tablespoons of batter, turning often, until browned, about 3 minutes per batch. Serve with dip.
