Cider-Glazed Kohlrabi with Apples

Sauté kohlrabi with apples, rosemary and cider until glazed in this wintry side recipe.

  • 3 tbsp. butter

  • 2 small kohlrabi, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch wedges

  • 1 cup fresh apple cider

  • 2/3 cup chicken stock

  • 1 apple, cored and cut into 1/2-inch wedges

  • 1 tsp. wholegrain mustard

  • Chopped fresh rosemary, for garnish


In skillet, cook butter over medium-high until lightly browned, 5 minutes. Add kohlrabi, cider, and stock. Bring to boil. Cook, stirring occasionally, until kohlrabi is almost tender, about 15 minutes. Add apple. Cook over medium-low, stirring often, until glazed, about 10 minutes. Stir in mustard; season. Garnish with rosemary.
