Butter-Poached Green Beans with Lemon & Thyme

Ingredients

  • Butter (1/2 stick for every pound of green beans)
  • Green beans, trimmed
  • Pinch salt and pepper
  • Thyme sprig
  • Lemon slices

Preparation

In an ovenproof skillet, melt butter over medium. Add green beans and salt and pepper; toss to coat. Add thyme and lemon slices. Cover and bake at 325 degrees until beans are tender, about 30 minutes. Season.
