Attention, cocoa fiends: you have a new shade to obsess over.
First came dark, then milk, then white—and now there's a new hue in town.
More than 80 years after Nestlé first introduced white chocolate, another Swiss brand is launching a new color: pink!
Barry Callebaut, the world's leading manufacturer of chocolate and cocoa products, is behind the no-color-added variety made from ruby cocoa beans, which taste "neither butter, milky or sweet, but a tension of fresh berry fruitiness and luscious smoothness," according Barry Callebaut's website.
Barry Callebaut is a business-to-business company, so "when and where the product hits shelves depends on the customers," says spokesperson Kim Ghilardi. But now it's available at Tarder Joe's, Whole, and Target stores.
