It was an emotional day for the kids, parents and mentors of Team Rachael and Team Guy, as the season 2 competition came to a close. Sean was in the lead with six gold stars, closely followed by Amber with five and Finn with four, but the winning title was anyone's game. The final challenge required the kids to throw their very own food festival -- cooking 35 portions of a signature dish. A challenge so special could only call for three guest judges of the same caliber: Host of Cooking Channel's The Real Girl's Kitchen, Haylie Duff, California chef and restaurateur, Brian Malarkey and celebrity chef Curtis Stone.

The kids came up with some really creative show titles and recipes, like Sean's Bahn Mi Taco to be featured on "The SoCal Cook," and Lauren's Ozzy-ago Polenta and Pulled Chicken Drumsticks with Tomato Jam to be featured on her rock-and-roll themed TV show. All clad in their chef's coats, the kids were ready to cook for their lives.
With the food festival in full swing, the kids wowed the judges with the flavor and integrity of each dish. The audience went wild for their TV presentations, and it was truly a toss-up as to who would win their own series on FoodNetwork.com. But, finally, the anticipation is over! Gibson was named the winner of Rachael vs. Guy: Kids Cook-Off thanks to his Philly Cheesesteak Eggrolls on a Stick. Check out his show, The Jersey Shore Kid,here!
Congratulations to all of the Rachael vs. Guy contestants. We loved watching you grow as young chefs, and have no doubt that all of you could be the next Rachael Ray or Guy Fieri!
