You'll be saying "Hail Yes!" after a few bites.

Sweet potatoes are sweet. It's in the name. But if you're like me, they're not exactly the first thing you reach for to satisfy a sweet tooth. Or, at least, they weren't. Enter Hail Merry Sweet Potato Cups.

It wasn't long ago that my coworker handed me one of these doll-sized pies. The tiny dessert in my palm was essentially a cookie-candy hybrid, and the packaging was telling me this confection was vegetable-flavored. That alone had me skeptical—but then I took a bite.

Guys. These little cups taste exactly like sweet potato pie! The filling has a slightly different texture than the real thing (think sweet potato-flavored butter), and the crust is more moist than crumbly, but, wow, they're like little bites of Thanksgiving heaven. Like the real pie, I can't imagine eating these for any reason other than to quiet a craving for something sweet, but they're not over-the-top sweet—each 2-cup package contains only 7 grams of sugar.

I wondered why I had never seen these highly-addictive snacks in stores before. Turns out, the sweet potato flavor in Hail Merry's cup line was just released this fall. It follows other equally-delicious flavors like Meyer Lemon, Chocolate Almond Butter, and Dark Chocolate Espresso. Every flavor, including sweet potato, is gluten-free, vegan, and non-GMO.
