For several years now, I've been telling anyone who would listen that spiralized hot dogs are a revelation. Sounds dramatic, doesn't it? Well, it's true. Cutting a hot dog into a corkscrew shape gives you more crispy bits, which are the best part! Those grooves also create nooks for catching your favorite toppings. All you need is a skewer and a sharp small knife. So what are you waiting for?

Step 1

Insert a skewer lengthwise through a hot dog. (If the skewer pops out the side, just pull it back out and start again.)

Step 2

Place the hot dog on a work surface. Using a sharp small knife, cut down to the skewer at an angle while rolling the hot dog away from you.

Step 3

Remove the skewer and transfer the hot dog to a grill. Cook until crispy.
