Here's How to Get Free Ice Cream on #NationalIceCreamDay
Start strategizing for this Sunday, July 21, with this frozen dessert intel.
Just a quick announcement to say that two of our favorite things—free stuff and ice cream—are joining forces this Sunday, July 21, for National Ice Cream Day. Halo Top Ice Cream is giving away thousands of free Halo Top Pops, their 50 to 60 calorie treats, and the good news is that there are multiple ways to snag some sweetness for yourself.
First, Halo Top is teaming up with the popular social networking app, Bumble, to offer its users a free box of pops coupon while supplies last. Not on the app? No worries. Halo Top is also giving away an additional 5,000 coupons online at halotop.com/nicd. The coupons will be available there starting at 12:00 pm EST on the 21st, so set your clocks, alerts, reminders, and phone alarms now. Whatever you need to remember! And if you're in one of the following cities—Austin, Charlotte, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York City—Halo Top will also be giving out free pops IRL in each of these places while supplies last. Check here for a list of participating locations near you.
Now, on to the million dollar question: Once you have your coupon in hand, which of the four flavors will you try—Strawberry Cheesecake, Mint Chip, Peanut Butter Swirl, or Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough? Have to say that I've tried the Peanut Butter Swirl, and it didn't disappoint. I think I enjoyed it even more in pop form than in pint form. Why? Portion control for starters, though it's totally okay to go back for seconds when they're only 60 calories. And better yet, you don't have to wait for the pops to thaw at all—they come out of the freezer ready to enjoy, especially during the summer. Good luck getting free ice cream this Sunday. We'll be rooting for you!
