We found a new way to make holiday treats awesome: Just top them off with a made-to-order sprinkle blend.

"I use a combo of jimmies, nonpareils, sixlets, dragées, and sanding sugars," says Liz Butts of Sprinkle Popin Katy, Texas. You can choose from among dozens of festive shades and up to five types of sprinkles (from $25 for eight ounces).

At Neon Yolk, Rosie Pierce lets you tap into your own creativity with DIY mixes of edible confetti, candy pearls, sugar stars, and more (from $18 for eight ounces). She sends a photo update on how your sprinkles are coming along and, once you're happy with them, mails them out to you.

Now all you have to do is whip up some dough!
