Prep bulk chicken by dividing value packs into smaller portions; seal in plastic wrap, then in resealable plastic bags.

Refrigerate raw chicken for up to 2 days and cooked chicken for up to 4 days.

Freeze raw chicken for up to 9 months and cooked chicken for up to 4 months.

Defrost frozen chicken (raw or cooked) in the refrigerator, about 24 hours for 5 pounds, or seal in a plastic bag and submerge in cold water (about an hour per pound), changing the water every half hour.
