Mixed Lettuces with Red Wine & Shallot Vinaigrette

You can top this salad with whatever nuts you have on hand. We like toasted walnuts or hazelnuts.

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp. finely chopped shallots   

  • 3 tbsp. red wine vinegar   

  • 2 tsp. finely chopped fresh tarragon leaves   

  • 2 tbsp. olive oil   

  • 5 oz. mixed salad greens   

  • 1 cup thinly sliced radishes   

  • 1/4 cup chopped toasted nuts, such as walnuts or hazelnuts   

Preparation

In a large bowl, whisk the shallots, vinegar, and tarragon. Slowly whisk in the oil until blended. Season the vinaigrette with salt and pepper. Toss with the greens and radishes; season. Top with the toasted nuts.
