John's Cocktail: Spiked Irish Cider

Get in the St. Patrick’s Day spirit with a whiskey sipper from Rachael’s hubby, John Cusimano, the mixologist in the family.

  • 3 oz. Irish whiskey

  • 2 oz. apple brandy (such as Calvados or applejack)

  • 1 oz. fresh lemon juice (from 1 lemon)

  • 1 bottle (12 oz.) hard cider, chilled

  • 2 apple slices


Divide the whiskey, brandy, and lemon juice between 2 tall glasses filled with ice; stir. Top with the cider and garnish with the apple slices.
