Each month, Rachael Ray Every Day staffers try hundreds (seriously, hundreds) of new food products (it's research, people!) in hopes of determining the best of the bunch for our monthly Checkout column. The problem? We never have enough room in the mag for all the products we love from the taste test. Introducing: Food Fave, a new web column where we'll show a little extra love to our editors’ favorite new food and bev picks. Check back every week for your grocery store aisle inspo!

This Week's Food Fave: Little Secrets Crispy Wafers

These brand-new candy bars (showing up in 500 Whole Foods this month!) were voted crazy delicious by almost everyone on staff—from the photo department to the test kitchen. Each package holds two crème filled wafers that are similar to Kit Kats, but with a higher wafer-to-chocolate ratio and without the teeth-hurting sweetness. Little Secrets, which is branding itself as candy made from real ingredients, boasts fair-trade chocolate, no artificial colors or flavors, and no corn syrup in the bars. But beyond all that, these candy bars are just really, really delicious.

Here's what our staffers had to say:

"These crispy, chocolate-covered sticks are like the fair-trade-certified love child of a Kit Kat and a Nutter Butter. I'm partial to the dark chocolate sea salt version."—Nina Elder, executive food editor

“This candy is just plain delicious. My favorite part? The sea salt sprinkled on top. It’s the perfect bit of salty to combat the sweet.”—Sam Ulban, associate photo editor

"Crunchy and chocolatey, these cookies are addictive. The ones dipped in dark chocolate and sprinkled with sea salt are great, but I’ll take the peanut butter ones any day. I mean, crunch + chocolate + peanut butter = win."—Janet Taylor McCracken, test kitchen director

Flavors: Peanut Butter in Dark Chocolate, Dark Chocolate with Sea Salt, and Milk Chocolate with Sea Salt

Price: $1.99 per bar at Whole Foods. Or buy it on Instacart.
