When it comes to party food, chips and dip is the ultimate crowd pleaser. I'm gonna show you how to dress it up so you could even serve it at fancier get-togethers. First, let's make the dip. In a bowl, combine 2/3 of a cup sour cream. Then, using scissors, snip in about 2 tablespoons fresh chives. Finish the dip with about 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill and a little sprinkling of salt and pepper. The dill is gonna add a bright fresh note to our dip, which is gonna go great with the smoked trout we're gonna use later. Then, give it all a quick stir and set it aside. Now, for the fancy ingredient in our dish, the smoked trout. You can find smoked trout in the deli section of most gourmet markets or some supermarkets. I like it because it's a little bit meatier and flakier than smoked salmon. But if you can't find it, smoked salmon will do just fine. Just break it up with your fingers into bite sized pieces. Just before guests show up, put it all together. Grab a ridged potato chip, top it with a little bit of your dip, then finish it with a piece of smoked trout and a fresh sprinkle of dill.
