WILD GINGER This downtown spot is wildly popular—as are its Thai-style noodles with seafood ($14). The eatery is across the street from Benaroya Symphony Hall, making it an ideal pre- or post-symphony destination. The budget challenged can hit happy hour and grab similar bites at The Triple Door downstairs. (Wild Ginger: 1401 3rd Ave., 206-623-4450; The Triple Door: 216 Union St., 206-838-4333)
MAY Located in the quiet Wallingford district, May is a restaurant-in-a-residence with a twist: The owners installed the interior of a 150-year-old Thai house. The tranquil space is the ideal setting for an attractive pad Thai ($12); rice noodles are folded together tableside with chiles, sugar, bean sprouts and peanuts. (1612 N. 45th St., 206-675-0037)
