Classic Waffles

3 large eggs 1 1/3 cups milk 1 3/4 cups flour 1 tablespoon baking powder 1 tablespoon sugar 1/4 teaspoon salt 6 tablespoons melted butter, cooled



1. Preheat the waffle iron. In a medium bowl, whisk the eggs and then whisk in the milk. Set aside.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. Pour in the egg mixture and whisk to combine; lumps will remain. Pour in the butter and stir until combined. Do not overmix.
3. Ladle about 1/3 cup batter for every 4-inch square of the waffle iron and cook according to the manufacturer's directions. Repeat with the remaining batter.
