Happy Hour Almonds

A little sweet, a little spicy, a little salty—these nuts are sure to be inhaled by the handful.

Makes: 8 servings

  • 2 1/2 cups raw almonds
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon coarse salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees . Roast the almonds on a rimmed baking sheet until fragrant and toasted, about 10 minutes. Transfer the nuts to a bowl and toss with the butter. Sprinkle the sugar, salt and cayenne over the nuts and toss to coat. Let cool before serving.
