Orange and Ice Cream Trifles

Yield: 6 trifles

  • 3 oranges, peeled, white pith removed with knife
  • 1/2 cup orange marmalade
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 6 slices  (1 inch thick) pound cake
  • 1 1/2 pints vanilla ice cream
  1. Cut between orange membranes to remove segments; cut each segment into 3 pieces. In bowl, toss oranges with marmalade and lemon juice. Divide cake among 6 dessert glasses; spoon orange mixture over cake. Top each with scoop of ice cream.
