Yield: 6 trifles
- 3 oranges, peeled, white pith removed with knife
- 1/2 cup orange marmalade
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 6 slices (1 inch thick) pound cake
- 1 1/2 pints vanilla ice cream
- Cut between orange membranes to remove segments; cut each segment into 3 pieces. In bowl, toss oranges with marmalade and lemon juice. Divide cake among 6 dessert glasses; spoon orange mixture over cake. Top each with scoop of ice cream.
