Rummy Raisin Drizzle
Yield: 2 cups
- 1/2cup raisins
- 1/4cup dark rum, warmed
- 1 4 ouncestick butter
- 1 cup dark brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup heavy cream
- pinch of salt
- Soak raisins in rum until soft, 10 minutes. Drain, reserve rum. In medium saucepan, melt butter and sugar over medium-high heat. Add raisins, cream and salt. Bring to a boil, lower heat and stir in reserved rum. Drizzle over pound cake, ice cream or poached pears.
