Fennel Crushes

- 1/4cup fresh fennel, coarsely chopped
- 1/4teaspoon fennel seeds
- Ice cubes
- 3 ounces (1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons) gin
- 2 ounces (1/4 cup) anise flavor liqueur, such as Pernod
- 1/4cup orange juice
- Add the fennel and fennel seeds to a cocktail shaker and muddle with a wooden spoon.
- Fill the shaker halfway with ice cubes. Add the gin, anise liqueur and orange juice. Shake for 10 seconds, then strain into 2 ice-filled glasses.
