Great Grain

Chicken with rice is universal comfort food for man and dog alike. Come to think of it, cats like it, too! My mom has a formerly stray cat named Lily (she used to sleep in the lily beds outside my mom's window) who will only dine on dark-meat rotisserie chicken, which she skewers, one small bite at a time, with her claws.

Isaboo, too, is very ladylike in her eating habits. She only eats until full—unusual for a dog. Most eat until everything in sight is gone! Boo used to lick her dinner bowl clean, then she would keep on licking it clear across the kitchen floor until I picked it up. She loved chicken and would eat allimportant carbs—but only if they were cooked with meat!
