Berry Fizz

MAKES 4 DRINKS





One 10-ounce bag frozen mixed berries 4 tablespoons simple syrup* 8 ounces vodka Three 12-ounce cans lemon-lime soda, such as sprite Ice cubes, for serving 4 sprigs of fresh mint



In a blender, puree the berries with 3 tablespoons of water. Strain into a pitcher, using a spoon to push the puree through the strainer. Add the simple syrup, vodka and lemon-lime soda and stir. Serve over ice in highball glasses with the mint sprigs.


*Simple Syrup
Simple syrup is a fast way to sweet drinks: Just dissolve granulated sugar in an equal amount of boiling water, then chill. Make a few cups at a time and store for up to a month in the fridge. It's great for cocktails, iced tea, iced coffee and lemonade.
